This beautiful North Shore suburb is located at the northern edge of Cook County. The Village of Northbrook is connected to Chicago via a Metra rail line station, making it a convenient residence for downtown workers. The Northbrook Court shopping mall boasts world-renowned national retailers, while boutique shops and a wide variety of restaurants are scattered throughout the village. Residents enjoy access to excellent schools, bicycle trails, golf courses, amenity-filled parks and recreation areas, and a quaint downtown.

Transportation

The Village of Northbrook is connected to Chicago via a Metra Rail station on the Milwaukee District North Line (MD-N). More than 25 daily trips are made from Northbrook to Chicago, with an average travel time of 45 minutes. Six Pace bus routes traverse the village: 473 (Highland Park/Northbrook Court), 213 (Green Bay Road), 422 (Linden CTA/Glenview/Northbrook Court), 627 (Discover/Takeda Shuttle Bug), 626 (Skokie Valley Limited) and 635 (Lake Cook Shuttle Bug 5). The Edens Expressway (I-94), Tri-State Tollway (I-294), U.S. Highway 41 and state highways 43 and 68 provide highway access. Average driving times are 40 minutes to downtown Chicago, 25 minutes to O’Hare Airport and 55 minutes to Midway Airport.
